All registered voters may request to vote absentee-by-mail in Indiana by completing an absentee ballot application.
For the Republican primary election, voters do not need to indicate a reason for voting absentee-by-mail. And if you already submitted an ABS-MAIL form for the original primary date (May 5, 2020), you do not need to resubmit your application for June 2.
Counties will start mailing absentee ballots to those who requested them on April 18, 2020.
On April 22, the Indiana Election Commission will decide if the primary will be a MAIL ONLY primary (in an attempt to keep people at home and contain the spread of coronavirus).
It’s easy to make sure your vote counts. Simply download the absentee ballot form, print and fill it out, and mail it to your county’s election board office. (See page 2 of the form for the address you need.)
To fill out your absentee-by-mail ballot for the Republican primary:
District 3 voters should send their ABS-MAIL forms to one of the following counties (wherever you reside):
The deadline to return the form is May 21, 2020 (12 days before Election Day) by 11:59 p.m. local time.
